A graduate from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore, Amanda’s design roots actually begun within the field of Jewellery Design, which ignited her love for illustration. After winning multiple awards for jewellery design during her time in school, her focus in technical drawings shifted to graphic design, and she eventually did her BA (Hons) degree in Visual Communication at Loughborough University.
A curious and enthusiastic being at heart, her design career has seen her take multiple roles as a Designer, Illustrator, Art Director, Social Media Curator and Content Strategist. Her clients include agencies such as BBDO, Leo Burnett, Ogilvy & Mather, McCann Worldgroup, and also lifestyle/retail luminaries, groups and magazines such as Vans, Lee Jeans, Zouk Club Singapore, Esquire, NYLON, L’officiel, Cleo and Female.
At current, she is a freelance designer and adjunct lecturer at a LASALLE College Of The Arts, where she teaches Branding and Creative Direction. She is also a passionate music lover, and DJs often at clubs and bars under the moniker @akasounds.
